Over seventy years ago, someone walked into Birks on Sainte-Catherine Street and chose these twelve bone china cups as an engagement gift to mark the beginning of a life together.
Made in England, the Paragon China company’s Queen Mary service is distinguished by its dark blue border, its golden laurel flowers, and bouquets at the bottom of the bowl. Such a fragile gift, yet one that was designed to last and symbolize the strength of a welcoming home.
These cups have survived decades of careful hands. Now the Museum oversees their preservation — and your gift ensures they reach the next generation.
